Oshodi-Isolo Council Chairman, Oloyde, Mourns Kemi Nelson
The death of the former women leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and former commissioner of women affairs and poverty alleviation in Lagos state, Chief Mrs Kemi Nelson has been described as shocking and devastating to the progressives in Lagos and Nigeria in general.
In a condolences message, Executive Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede stated that the state chapter of the APC will miss "her quality contributions, assertive stand on her positive convictions as well as motherly role".
The council boss commiserated with the Nelson's family, the APC and her business associates and friends on the irreplacable loss.
In his words; "the death of Yeyesewa Kemi Nelson came to us in Oshodi-Isolo as a shock as she was a pillar in our party, who contributed immensely to its development and that of the state in general. She was a committed leader, progressive to the core and above all, a reliable mother of all. She will be greatly miss by her people in Ikeja as she was the apex leader of the local government until she breathed her last."
"On behalf of my family, the executive, management and staff of Oshodi-Isolo local government, I commiserate with the entire family of Nelson on the death of an Amazon and a political icon, it's our prayer that God in His infinite mercy will grant Yeyesewa eternal rest. And to the party, it's our prayer that God will grant you the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss".
"Surely, we shall miss her wise counselling and leasership, rest in peace great leader of leaders".
