Oshodi Isolo local government Commences Work On Ongoing Road Construction
... Oloyede Promises Concentration of Infrastructure in Mafoluku, Shogunle Areas
In a bid to ensure continued infrastructural development projects for the benefit of his people, the Oshodi-Isolo local government chairman, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, has mobilized contractors back on sites to complete ongoing roads project.
It would be recalled that the executive chairman has within 100 days on assumption of office completed over 20 of the 24 roads rehabilitation works he started.
The road rehabilitation works which was stopped in January according to the chairman was due to paucity of funds, but works commenced just days after the signing of the year 2022 budget into law after it was passed by the legislative arm of the council.
Oloyede had at the time of signing the budget promised completion of ongoing projects and promised to concentrate more infrastructural projects in Mafoluku and Shogunle areas of the local government.
He said; "We have commenced work on the ongoing projects we started last year, as I have said infrastructural development of Oshodi-Isolo remains a top priority of our government. We have signed the budget into law and I assure you again that we will do everything possible to bring unprecedented development to our dear local government.
This year, we will be concentrating on Mafoluku and Shogunle areas of the council, we will also rehabilitate our primary health centres. We will give our primary schools attention more with rehabilitation of the buildings and equipped them with furniture with modern learning tools to make learning easy for our children."
The Council boss reiterated that he won't leave stone unturned, untill he achieves all his electioneering campaign promises.
Among the sites that work has commenced include Liverpool Road in Oshodi,Opo Osun street in Shogunle and Mukandasi Street in Mafoluku.
