Oshodi-Isolo Council Chairman Mobilizes Residents for Voter's Registration/ Revalidation.
"Promises no eligible voter will be disenfranchised"
In ensuring that his local government records highest number of registered voters across the country, the Executive Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo local government, Otunba Kehinde Almoroof Oloyede, has charged residents of the council area who are eligible to vote to approach the INEC office in the local government to register, while those with permanent voters card (PVC) are enjoined to revalidated their cards.
The council boss gave the admonition in a press release issued by his media office in which he called on residents who have clocked eighteen(18) years of age to approach the office of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to register as voters.
The hardworking council boss equally charged those who have registered and possess the permanent voters card (PVC) to equally revalidate them at the INEC office, situated in the local government council.
Otunba Oloyede however disclosed that the local government in conjunction with stakeholders are making arrangements to have INEC officials in selected public places to address the increase in the number of eligible voters.
In his words " we want to urge our people to go and register at the INEC office, those who have registered are enjoined to visit the office of INEC for revalidation of their PVCs. We are equally making provision for INEC officials to be placed at some public places to ease the queue at the INEC office at the local government. We will ensure eligible voters are registered as it's their civic responsibility to do so. We won't allow our people to be disenfranchised."
